Robinhood Chain passed $10 billion in Uniswap volume in under a month. Hayden Adams rejected claims that new v4 protocol fees cut liquidity provider earnings. At the time of writing UNI traded at $4. 287 on Coinbase, up 7. 55% on the day, after price pushed above a triangle pattern that had capped it since the middle of July. The breakout landed in the same week that Uniswap’s newest protocol version overtook every other decentralized exchange in weekly trading volume, its Robinhood Chain deployment crossed $10 billion, and founder Hayden Adams stepped in to defend a freshly activated fee model. The token is now trading at levels it last held before the June selloff. The breakout that took a month to buildThe pattern behind the move is an ascending triangle. From mid-July onward, UNI kept running into a flat ceiling near $3. 88 while its lows climbed higher each time, squeezing price into a tighter range until something had to give. Thursday’s candle broke it, trading well above that ceiling on a run that reached $4. 333 before easing back. Triangles that form inside a trend already pointing up, as this one did, usually mark a pause before continuation rather than a top. Source: UNIUSD from TradingView (by Alexander Stefanov)The 14-day RSI reads 72. 44. Anything above 70 is generally treated as overbought, which is another way of saying the rally has moved fast enough that a breather would be normal. That is not a reversal signal on its own. Price also sits far above its 50-day moving average at $3. 452, a line that has been sloping up since early July. That wide gap confirms the strength of the move and, at the same time, shows how stretched it has become. Volume is the piece that does not line up. Thursday printed 909. 95K against a 20-day average of 895. 37K, barely above the mean. The heaviest volume bars on the chart still belong to mid-June, during the recovery off the lows, not to this breakout. A move that clears resistance without a clear jump in participation tends to be more prone to a pullback, so this is the detail to watch rather than wave away. The levels that decide the next moveWith the $3. 88 ceiling behind it, that level flips into the first line of support, and a pullback that holds there would strengthen the setup rather than break it, since old resistance turning into support is standard after a genuine break. Below it, the rising triangle line and the 50-day average around $3. 45 mark the deeper floor. On the way up, Thursday’s $4. 333 high is the immediate marker, and a daily close that holds above it keeps the continuation case alive. A close back under $3. 88 would be the warning that the breakout has failed and that UNI needs to work off its overbought reading before trying again. Uniswap clears more than double the next DEXUniswapmoved $11. 62 billion across all its versions over the past seven days, more than double the next protocol on the board, according to DefiLlama. On Uniswap’s own weekly breakdown, its newest version, V4, sat ahead of the older V3 for the first time, with the two together making up the bulk of that total. #Protocol7-day volume1Uniswap$11. 62B2Pump$4. 05B3Native$3. 95B4PancakeSwap$3. 59B5Aerodrome$2. 37B6Tessera V$907. 71M7GoonFi$743. 92M8Orca$733. 78MSource: DefiLlama, DEX volume over the last 7 days, July 30, 2026. $10 billion through Robinhood Chain in under a monthRobinhood Chain, the network Robinhood built for onchain trading, has pulled in more than $12. 5 billion in Uniswap protocol volume in under a month, according to DefiLlama. Roughly $3. 2 billion of that came in the past week alone, which means one chain that launched at the start of July now accounts for close to a quarter of all Uniswap volume. The pace matters because it shows the flow behind Uniswap’s volume is not coming from Ethereum mainnet alone. A large share now runs through newer venues where trading is cheaper and, in Robinhood’s case, tied to a consumer trading app with a large existing user base. Launches puts rival launchpads on one tabUniswap also rolled out Launches, a new tab in its web app that pulls tokens from third-party launchpads such as Bankr, Pons and Long into a single view. The point is to let users browse new listings across several platforms without leaving the interface. It is live in beta on Robinhood Chain first, with other networks to follow. For Uniswap, the feature is a move to become the place where traders discover new tokens, not only the place where they swap ones that already exist. After Uniswap governance approved protocol fees on selected v4 pools across several chains, some users argued the change would eat into what liquidity providers earn. Hayden Adams, who founded the protocol, called that reading FUD and misunderstanding. His position is that the 5 basis point protocol fee, roughly 0. 05% per trade, sits on top of what LPs collect rather than being carved out of it, so the widely repeated figure of a 25% cut to LP profits rests on a wrong assumption. He asked users to stop passing the claim around. The fee activation is the part worth tracking from here. Uniswap governance argued over turning on a protocol-level fee for years without pulling the trigger, and this round of approvals is the first time it has switched on at scale across live v4 pools. Whatever the dispute over the LP math, the mechanism now routes a slice of trading revenue to the protocol itself rather than only to liquidity providers, which is the piece UNI holders have waited on for a long time. How that revenue gets handled, and whether it ever reaches token holders directly, is the question the next governance cycle will have to answer.
