- Advertisement -ZRO has been turned away at its 20-day average four times since the May topThe $0. 755 floor from June is the level that decides the next legThree declining peaks keep the sequence of lower highs intactRSI is weak but not oversold, leaving room for a bullish divergenceLayerZero (ZRO) is trading at $0. 774 on the daily chart, down 5. 38% on the session and more than 9% on a rolling 24-hour basis after another failed push toward its 20-day average, and the token is now sliding back toward the $0. 755 support that has held its downside together since June. It is the fourth time since the May top near $1. 50 that sellers have stepped in at the same moving average, and that repetition is what gives today’s session more weight than the percentage move on its own. Buyers lifted the token as high as $0. 839 in early trade. The offer got taken every step of the way back down, and the candle closed within a fraction of a cent of its $0. 770 low. Four attempts at the 20-day line, four failuresEvery rally off the May high has run straight into the 20-day simple moving average and rolled over there. That average now sits at $0. 834, with the 50-day above it at $0. 879, and both have been sloping down in step for weeks. Price is pinned beneath the pair, with the faster average stacked under the slower one. When the moving averages line up in that order and the token cannot reclaim either of them, sellers keep the advantage by default. Source: ZROUSD chart from TradingView by Alexander StefanovThree peaks, each one lower than the lastThe price structure underneath those averages tells the same story in a cleaner way. The first bounce stalled around $1. 22, the next topped near $1. 06, and the most recent one died at $0. 975 before this week’s reversal. Each recovery has been shallower than the one before, and none has managed to climb back onto the shelf it fell from. Lower highs, textbook and unbroken, and that is why $0. 975 carries more meaning than a random round number. Until ZRO closes back above it, that sequence holds and the broader trend does not change. LevelPriceWhat it representsTrend-flip level$0. 975Most recent lower high; a close above it breaks the downtrend structure50-day average$0. 879Second overhead hurdle, still pointing lower20-day average$0. 834The line that has capped all four ralliesCurrent price$0. 774Daily close, sitting almost on the session lowRange floor$0. 755June base, no daily close beneath it yetWhy $0. 755 is the number that matters mostThe floor at $0. 755 was built during the June basing period, when price wicked into it and bounced, and it has held on a closing basis ever since. A handful of candles have poked below it during the day, but not one has managed a daily close underneath, and that is exactly what gives the level its weight. Today’s drop brings ZRO back down to it from above for the first time this cycle, so this is the more serious of the two possible tests. A rejection here keeps the token boxed inside its range and sets up another slow grind toward the 20-day average. Today’s drop printed on the heaviest volume in over a week, which is what makes this retest credible rather than a low-conviction drift. A daily close beneath $0. 755 on volume like that breaks the floor, and there is very little visible structure left below it. Why momentum could still flash a warning to the shortsMomentum has not confirmed a breakdown yet, and that is the detail that keeps the retest worth watching. The 14-period RSI reads 39. 58, below its moving average at 42. 73 and drifting down, but it is still above the oversold zone. Back in June, RSI bottomed in the low 30s the first time price tagged $0. 755. If ZRO now prints a fresh low at or under that floor while RSI stays above its June reading, that divergence would be the earliest hint that selling pressure is drying up and a bounce deserves respect. If momentum just rolls over alongside price with no divergence to show, the breakdown case gets the confirmation it currently lacks. LayerZero trims support for five quiet chainsOn July 25 the LayerZero team said it iswinding down off-chain support, meaning its DVN and Executor services, for a set of low-activity networks over the following 30 days: Botanix, Canto, Moonriver, Moonbeam and Nexera. Stargate users holding Hydra assets on those chains (USDC. e, wETH and Hydra USDT) were told to redeem before support is fully deprecated or risk losing access to the funds. This reads as housekeeping rather than a retreat from the protocol’s core, since the affected chains carried minimal volume to begin with. It lands in the same week as the technical weakness, though, and for a token already stuck under its moving averages, headlines about shrinking coverage do nothing to invite fresh buyers. LayerZero is winding down offchain support for a number of chains with minimal activity. This means that LayerZero DVN and Executor services will no longer be available for these chains. In the next 30 days, the following chains will be impacted: Botanix, Canto, Moonriver,…— LayerZero (@LayerZero_Core)July 24, 2026The road back up, and the line in the sandThe bias stays bearish for as long as ZRO trades below $0. 834, and the map from here is simple to hold in your head. Reclaiming the 20-day average at $0. 834 is the first thing that would even start to challenge the downtrend. The 50-day at $0. 879 is the next wall above it. It does not become a real trend change until $0. 975 finally gives way. On the other side of the ledger, $0. 755 is the line in the sand, and the next daily close relative to that floor is what most likely sets the token’s direction into August. Traders leaning long will want to see momentum refuse to make a new low with price; traders leaning short want the opposite, a decisive close through the base with volume behind it.
